Chris Fey

Founder, Director, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Fey is an experienced health care executive with more than three decades in managed care, insurance plans, clinical diagnostics and preventive medicine.

As a management consultant, Mr. Fey assisted in the development of HMOs for U.S. HealthCare, Lincoln National Life Insurance, as well as Blue Cross and Blue Shield in markets such as Baltimore/Washington, D.C., Florida, New Jersey, New York, Boston, Chicago and St. Louis. Following these major market launches, Mr. Fey founded his own multi-state managed care company, HealthCare USA, which grew to a $150 million business in less than three years. HealthCare USA has generated more than five billion dollars in revenue since its founding. The Company was also ranked #1 in Quality in the State of Florida outranking 28 other established HMOs at the time. HealthCare USA was acquired by publicly-held Coventry Health Care where Mr. Fey served as Senior Vice President. Coventry Health Care was acquired by Aetna.

As a Member of the Wall Street Journal CEO Council, a select organization of 100 CEOs from across the U.S. and internationally, Mr. Fey participated in its yearly roundtable conference which presented its annual business priorities list to the White House. He has also traveled extensively to discuss population health management and prevention efforts and opportunities with business, health care and government leaders across the U.S., Europe, United Arab Emirates, China, Malaysia and Singapore.

Mr. Fey is the founder and managing partner of Eagle Strategy Partners, LLC and mHealth Ventures. He is also the founder, chairman & CEO and director of BigBang Health, Inc., a connected network of health care providers serving the self-funded employer market, board Member of MedAware Solutions, Inc., a teleHealth and teleMedicine solution that connects the care threads throughout the health care continuum, as well as co-founder and chairman & CEO of Blood Tests at Home, Inc., a national home or work diagnostics company. Mr. Fey is a graduate of the University of Florida.

Despina Walsworth, MD., FACOG, MHSA.

Dr. Walsworth has more than two decades in the health care industry serving patients, health plans and physician networks in multiple capacities in addition to serving as a practicing OB/GYN physician in SE Michigan. Multiple assignments during her career have led to successive areas of responsibility across the health care continuum.

As a proven medical and community leader, Dr. Walsworth brings valuable expertise to the leadership team beyond her medical and business acumen. Dr. Walsworth is the founder of Advanced OB/GYN of Michigan. In this capacity, she has established a successful OB/GYN practice and has become knowledgeable of the complexities of running a private clinical practice.

Dr. Walsworth is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine. In this capacity she is responsible for teaching medical students about Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, as an Assistant Program Director in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Walsworth is directly involved in teaching and working directly with the OB/GYN residents.

Recruited in 2010 at John D. Dingell, Veterans Affairs Hospital, as a Section Chief Gynecologist, Dr. Walsworth was given full responsibility and created a "Center of Excellence" in Women's Health. Under her leadership, the Gynecology Service evolved to become a referral service for the entire VISN 11 area. During her tenure, the Gynecology service consistently received high marks for excellent patient care. Dr. Walsworth has also championed the implementation of Tele-health in the gynecology care, which further improved patient experience while increasing veterans’ access to gynecology services.

In addition to her degree - Doctor of Medicine, Dr. Walsworth is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Public Health with a Master of Health Services Administration degree in the Department of Health Management and Policy. Her focus during her career has been to better engage, communicate, educate and motivate patients with the tools and resources to improve outcomes and lower costs.

Dr. Walsworth has an exceptionally strong hands-on background in all aspects of care, from early years as a Physical Therapy aide to positions such as Section Chief Gynecologist, to current positions as Assistant Program Director of OB/GYN Residency program, Clinical Assistant Professor, and Medical Director of BigBang Health. Throughout her career she has absorbed an immense amount of knowledge in all aspects of medical care and she is an advocate for excellence in patient safety, quality, and service.

Paul E. Risner

President & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Risner is a lawyer and an experienced health care executive with more than 25 years spent at the confluence of law and healthcare.

Mr. Risner has served as the chief lawyer for three large health systems, a public company (NASDAQ: PLRX), several start-ups in the Health and Wellness, Physician Practice Management and Disease Management spaces. In addition, Mr. Risner has been a member of three major law firms, leading or contributing to the health law and corporate practices of the firms. In addition, Mr. Risner has served as the Chief Operating Officer for three companies in the Health and Wellness, Disease Management and Medicaid Managed Care spaces.

Mr. Risner’s law practice focus has been on the organization and management of companies and on the transactional side of healthcare: purchasing companies, physician practices, a hospital, several nursing homes, ancillary businesses and IP assets. Mr. Risner has organized over a dozen corporations, under the laws of Florida and Delaware. Mr. Risner has personally mediated over 50 commercial, professional and contract disputes, to successful conclusions.

Mr. Risner has served as the Ethics Officer and the Compliance Officer in several organizations and has managed such non-law functions as Operations, IT, Marketing and Public Relations and Guest Services, for the companies he has served.

Mr. Risner is a graduate of the University of Florida, College of law and Jacksonville University. He holds law licenses in the States of Florida and Tennessee and is Board Certified in the Health Law by the Florida Bar. Mr. Risner is a certified mediator and arbitrator (American Health Lawyers Association).

Mr. Risner is a former “Boss of the Year” and is a former champion on the game show “Jeopardy!"

Tom Lieven

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Lieven is an experienced financial executive with experience across a broad range of companies.

After 9 years with Anderson Consulting and several years as Chief Financial Officer of a property and casualty insurance company, Mr. Lieven was asked to join the staff of the Milwaukee Community Health Plan, doing business as HealthReach HMO. HealthReach was a not-for-profit Title 19 HMO serving Medicaid recipients and their families in the greater Milwaukee area.

Tom joined the company shortly after its inception and established the investing, accounting, invoicing and payment processes for the company. He established the claim review and adjudication process, as well, for claims submitted by the numerous healthcare providers. He assembled a corporate reporting package for the President and the Board of Directors and provided periodic financial updates for them. Mr. Lieven worked closely with the President to identify and then negotiate with additional hospitals and clinics to add to the HMO’s network. He also helped identify and negotiate a stop-loss insurance policy to protect the HMO from financial losses due to severe medical cases.

As the company grew, Mr. Lieven worked with the Board and the executive team to identify ways to expand into the corporate and individual markets for HMO services. After the CEO left the company, the Board asked Mr. Lieven to serve as interim CEO while they searched for a new CEO.

After the new CEO was selected, Mr. Lieven joined a group vision insurance company as their Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. He worked closely with the President to grow the company, modernize its computer systems and processing and recruit a staff to run all aspects of the company’s operations. The company grew rapidly with the management team and it was subsequently sold to a larger affiliated company.

Mr. Lieven eventually invested in and worked in several start-up companies and founded Applied Management, LLC, a company engaged in providing fractional CFO services to smaller companies and start-ups.
